Belize Elective Payment
Price per person based on full 4 week elective.
Medics Away expects no payment on reservation. We will issue you with your invoice at the time of booking for your reference. Payments are finalised 6 weeks or so prior to your departure date. Medics Away will send you an invoice email with our bank details. Most students prefer bank transfers. Alternatively, we accept cheques via the post. We have a paperless policy and would therefore prefer all correspondence and transactions via email or on the phone. We currently do no accept credit or debit card transactions.
We are a small family company, so your money is quite safe with us. All payments taken from students are placed into a ‘Client Account’. As a consequence, the money does not yet belong to Medics Away. Not until all transactions are completed for your trip does Medics Away transfer the modest remaining profit into its company account. Cancellations after payment does not forfeit your money. Our policy is ‘if you travel, you pay. If you don’t travel, you don’t pay.’ We can simply transfer the money back into your bank account. Medics Away makes a considerable contribution to the local hospital in each location on a yearly basis. We pay the hospital per student that travels. This money is used towards the purchasing of equipment or medicines for the good of the public and patients in the local community. Students often ask if they can pay in installments. The answer is Yes, however, we would prefer a one off payment near your departure date. Please refer to the FAQ section for any further answers. Alternatively, please call our office and we will be happy to discuss anything you wish.
